Erin, the Dietitian
I’m a registered dietitian who has worked in the field of eating disorders since 2009. I’ve worked in various settings–outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, inpatient hospitalization, and private practice. I’ve worked with a variety of clients–men, women, white, black, hispanic, gay, straight, 6-year-olds, 65-year-olds, and all ages in between, from severely underweight to “normal weight” to morbidly obese. These people have struggled with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, “orthorexia”, chronic dieting, and more.
As an eating disorder professional, I believe that getting professional treatment is imperative if you have an eating disorder.
Erin, the Christian
I have a personal relationship with God. I believe in Jesus the son, God the father, and the Holy Spirit. I believe he is with us in our struggles and that he can be our strength during these hard times. I also believe that he has the power to miraculously heal.
On a lighter note, my full-time job is being the momma of two little ones, currently a 2-year-old and a 2-month-old. I wish I could tell you I have some glamorous or unique hobby, but at this stage of life you’ll most likely find me blowing bubbles, wiping butts, singing “Wheels on the Bus”, and squeezing the last bits out of a fruit pouch. I’m good with it 🙂
I hope you can benefit from my blog. Thanks for checking it out!
Disclaimer: I do not have a degree in pychology or theology. This is a blog, not treatment. If you are struggling or think you might have an eating disorder, please seek treatment and seek God.
